Rachel and Mote may not have met right away after moving to Atlanta, but when they finally crossed paths, it was clear they were meant to be. Mote moved to Atlanta in 2011, and Rachel arrived a few years later in 2014. But it wasn’t until September 27, 2023, that they met at La Tavola in Virginia Highlands for their first date.

What started as a simple dinner turned into a four-hour conversation, filled with laughs and getting to know one another. From that night on, they began to spend more time together, sharing experiences, getting to know each other's friends and families, and traveling to places like Mexico, Texas, Florida, and Norway.

After an unforgettable trip to Norway in the summer of 2024, Mote proposed to Rachel on August 13, 2024, at their favorite taco spot, —perfectly capturing their shared love of good food and simple moments. Rachel, of course, said yes!

Now, Rachel and Mote are excited to celebrate their big day with all of their loved ones on February 22, 2025. They’re looking forward to many more adventures and memories together, and they can't wait to share this special moment with everyone who’s been a part of their journey.
